Who we are
OmegaFleet is operated by Omega Capital Ltd, Mombasa, Kenya. Omega Capital Ltd is the data controller for the information you give us on OmegaFleet.
What we collect
- Your phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time SMS code.
- Your name, national ID or company registration number, KRA PIN if given, email if given, and location.
- Details of your vehicles and equipment: type, number plate, capacity and operating county.
- Documents you choose to upload, such as logbooks, insurance and NTSA inspection certificates.
- Technical records: the IP address and device used when you sign in or give consent.
Why we use it
- To verify you and your vehicles before offering you jobs.
- To contact you about your registration and about jobs near you.
- To pay you and keep the financial and tax records the law requires.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
We rely on your consent, given when you submit your registration, and on our contract with you once you start working with us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use service providers to run OmegaFleet: an SMS provider (Africa's Talking) to send codes and messages, and cloud providers to host the website, database and documents. Some of these providers store data outside Kenya, with safeguards required by the Data Protection Act, 2019.
How long we keep it
We keep registration details while you work with us. If your registration is rejected or you ask us to delete it, we delete your documents within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep records.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us at info@omegafleet.co.ke. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
